Director, Office of Faculty Actions
The Office of Faculty Actions manages all full- and part-time faculty, research faculty, and faculty administrative personnel matters for the Questrom School of Business, including searches, (re)appointments, promotions, leaves, retirements and faculty salary and merit reviews. Each year, the Office is involved with approximately 250 actions related to faculty employment, the tenure and promotion of 5-7 faculty, and a variety of special analyses and proposals. The Office is also responsible for developing and supporting infrastructure and processes to support these actions. The Director acts on behalf of the Associate Dean for Faculty & Research in making decisions on regular faculty actions matters and identifying more complex matters requiring further development and review. The Director is responsible for developing and overseeing faculty onboarding and professional development activities for faculty, as well as administering training for departmental staff on processes related to faculty actions.
Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred. Advanced analytical and project/process management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office applications and database applications. Able to handle confidential and sensitive material appropriately. At least 5 years of experience within faculty actions.
