The information systems support a wide range of sectors across high value industries to open research whilst ensuring that all information has the appropriate level of protection.
The university comprises of 1,500 staff supporting 4,500 students in over 100 buildings on the campus including world-class research intensive initiatives.
The university is looking for an Information Security Analyst to develop, implement and monitor a comprehensive enterprise-wide information security protection programme, based on accepted industry standards. You will provide insight into the current security posture and highlight improvement activities to mitigate risk. The Information Security function is the provider of expert security advice, guidance and support across the wide range of systems, services, users and assets.
You will have an up-to-date knowledge of security technologies as you will act as an interface between IT technical teams and business managers, and an analytical approach to security controls, tools and processes. You should also hold either a degree or equivalent professional qualification, and be a certified information security specialist.
You will also have proven experience of implementing security-based projects and an in-depth knowledge of security standards and applicable legislation that is relevant to protecting information and IT systems.
