Salary package: $95,894 - $102,664 plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full time, continuing.

Position overview

The Senior Project Officer works closely with the Dean, HDR and provides high-level executive support in the achievement of the strategic goals in this portfolio, working effectively across a wide range of high-level internal and external stakeholders. Under the broad direction of the Dean, the successful candidate will provide strategic support and management for ongoing projects, provide secretarial and communication support to relevant HDR committees, as well as write reports and coordinate submissions and correspondence related to HDR matters. The Senior Project Officer is the point of liaison and coordination between the Dean, HDR and other members of the University Executive, Deans of Colleges, Service Division Directors, key student organisations and groups and individuals external to the University.

The position will suit a self-motivated person with project management experience and excellent oral and written communication skills, who enjoys daily variety, is energetic and independently proactive. Well-developed administration and organisational skills together with the ability to think critically and strategically, exercise initiative and work cooperatively as a member of a small team is essential. Experience in higher degree research administration would be an advantage.
