Research Services is responsible for the management of research that takes place at Macquarie University or is conducted by University staff. This task is divided between four functional teams: Pre-award, Post-award and Reporting, Ethics and Integrity and Research Contracts and Policy.
The Post-Award and Reporting team is responsible for post-award management of research projects through assisting researchers to meet reporting deadlines and by informing and negotiating with funding agencies.
The Research Policy & Contracts Team in conjunction with the Office of General Counsel (Legal) reviews, drafts, negotiates and arranges execution of research-related contracts and agreements with external organisations.
The Contracts and Post Award Administrator will work closely with both the Post-Award and Reporting team and the Research Policy & Contracts Team.
As the successful applicant, you will provide a broad range of administrative support using both internal and external research management systems. You will also act as the first point of contact for researchers and other university staff on contract and post award matters.
This dual role will require you to have strong attention to detail and organisational skills and will suit someone with a flexible, “can-do” approach.

- Demonstrated experience working in a university research management environment
- Experience working with research management systems and strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to coordinate complex matters and meet competing deadlines
Due to the nature of this appointment, the preferred candidate will be required to undergo a criminal history check.
Salary Package: From $70,699 to $80,381p.a. (HEW Level 5), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
