We are looking for two Postdoctoral Research Associates to join our Life Sciences department as part of our engagement with Oxford Cannabinoids Technology (http://oxcantech.com). It is expected that applicants will have research interests which complement the project and will be able to assist the Principal Investigator as required and independently where necessary.
Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies is a biopharmaceutical company focused on researching, developing, and licensing cannabinoid-based compounds and therapies. Its vision is to become a global leader in cannabinoid-based therapies improving the quality of life for millions of patients. The company has partnered with Prof Fulvio D’Acquisto (https://loop.frontiersin.org/people/23954/overview) for an exciting drug discovery program aimed at the identification and characterisation of novel and innovative anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory drugs of the cannabinoids family.
The project is ideal for someone that is interested in developing an industrial or academic career in drug discovery and would like to deepen his/her understanding of the therapeutic benefits associated with immunomodulatory/anti-inflammatory therapies. The research plan is based on a variety of approaches and experimental systems including human and murine cells – experimental models of inflammation and immunity.
