Job Description

The full time position will assist in the development of virtual college mental health programming, curriculum development, enhancement of the web presence and the engagement and useability of college mental health programs in the services division. In addition the position will research, update and work with staff to introduce and use innovative technologies in our college mental health programs that will help students with psychiatric and behavioral challenges to succeed in their academic, social, vocational, and wellness domains. The position will also assist in the delivery of psychiatric rehabilitation teaching and coaching through distance education and on site, that students need for successful completion of higher education and or/ engagement in employment.

Required Skills

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree, but a Masters degree with 3 to 5 years of post experience in counseling, education, psychology, social work or rehabilitation is preferred. Experience and knowledge of engagement and coaching strategies, supported education techniques, distance education, experience in online curriculum development is a plus. Skills in collaborating, navigating, negotiating, and planning with other higher educational offices including financial aid, judicial affairs, Health services and the office of Disability services is desired. Knowledge of web strategies is a plus.
