Human Resources delivers a comprehensive suite of HR services to approximately 4000 employees working at the University. The role of Human Resources is to provide efficient and effective services to support the employment and management of University staff.
We are currently seeking applications for the position of Senior Consultant (Employment Relations) to provide expertise, support and guidance to HR staff, managers and staff on employee relations matters, as well as support University wide HR projects and programs.
This is a continuing, full time position based at the Nathan campus.
To be successful in this role you will possess a relevant postgraduate qualification in Employment Relations or related field plus extensive experience in industrial/employment relations, or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
Your proven track record in the provision of high quality human resource consultancy services to senior staff and line managers, together with your comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contemporary HR and industrial/employee relations issues, practices and strategies in a complex, changing environment is essential. You will also possess demonstrated experience in representing organisations at external employment and industrial relations forums such as the Fair Work Commission. High level interpersonal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to work under broad direction with good strategic, conceptual and analytical skills, and higher level computer literacy including demonstrated use of ERP systems and PeopleSoft HCM and related reporting tools is required.
HEW Level 10: $113,924 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $133,291 per annum.
