CBEH - Research and Administration Officer

The Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH) is a cross-Faculty Centre within The University of Queensland. The establishment of CBEH was supported by a generous philanthropic contribution by Paul and Sue Taylor, with financial support from UQ's strategic initiative funding and with strong collaboration with the Mater Research. CBEH conducts both investigator-led and commercial research to inform policies and practices that will contribute to the development of an economically sustainable healthcare system in Australia.
The primary function of this role is to provide research assistance and administrative support to the Director of CBEH. A significant part of this role will assist the Director in research activities such as data analysis, writing journal articles and assisting in finalising research reports. This position will also be responsible for diary management and assist with administrative duties for the Director. This position is based at the School of Pharmacy at the PACE (Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence) precinct adjacent to the PA hospital.
Applicants should possess well developed administrative skills and research experience including data analysis and use of STATA statistical software. Successful applicants should have experience in diary management, making international travel arrangements, and experience in organising professional events. You should also have participated in data collection (primary and secondary sources), performed basic interpretation of statistical outputs and assisted with writing academic papers. Experience with the Microsoft suite is required. You need to enjoy variety, be able to prioritise and meet deadlines, and be prepared to assist where needed.

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 2 years at HEW Level 5. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,597 - $72,348 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 17% (total package will be in the range $75,579 - $84,648 p.a.). This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
