The Global Development Portfolio is responsible for making RMIT genuinely global in operations and outlook. Under the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Development) and Vice President, the portfolio:
Leads and coordinates RMIT's global education partnerships,
Identifies, reviews and harnesses opportunities to further enhance RMIT's global model,
Coordinates enterprise-wide fundraising and alumni activities,
Manages global mobility opportunities for RMIT students.
In addition, it connects and coordinates RMIT's presences throughout the world including RMIT entities in Australia, Vietnam and Europe (Spain) and representative offices in other countries.
The Role & Your Responsibilities
As an integral member of the philanthropy team, the Philanthropy Assistant will play a key role in delivering exemplary donor stewardship, coordinating initial enquiries received via RMIT Giving line and via email, receipting and acknowledging donations, supporting and delivering key donor and prospecting events, and providing outstanding administrative support to enable the smooth delivery of RMIT's philanthropy strategy.
Skills & Experience Required
This role requires an enthusiastic, motivated individual with a can-do attitude and exemplary customer service. The Philanthropy assistant needs to be flexible, collaborative, demonstrate initiative and be a good communicator. In addition, you will have a high level of administrative and time management skills. You will also have experience in delivering a range of stakeholder events with strong oral, written and communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail. A high degree of proficiency with MS Office applications and experience using databases will be imperative to your success in this role.
