Join a small team supporting the diverse technology needs of the rapidly growing Computer Science Department, in a position responsible for the majority of our Windows and Mac support needs. This position involves managing multiple instructional computer labs, supervising a large staff of student workers, delivering a wide range of end-user desktop support services, and identifying and building tools and software environments for innovative pedagogical initiatives. If you have a solid background in Windows and Mac systems administration, are familiar with Active Directory tools and procedures, and have excellent customer service and communication skills, you may be a good fit for this position.

Required Skills

BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred. 3-5 years experience in Windows and Mac systems administration and desktop support. Solid working knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, and automated OS deployment tools required. Fluency in at least one scripting language required. Familiarity with Linux systems administration, comfort performing scripting and administrative tasks in a command-line environment, or familiarity with configuration management and distributed version control tools would all be big plusses. Experience working in a higher education environment or supervising student workers would be helpful. Ability to think and work independently on a project with only broad guidance and minimal day-to-day supervision will be critical to success in this position. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and habits, and the ability to work productively with individuals possessing a wide array of technical proficiencies and personality types are essential.
