ACADEMIC SERVICES LIBRARIAN: CATALOGUE MANAGER/USER EDUCATION CO-ORDINATOR (PART-TIME)

Contract: Permanent, part-time (06.FTE)
Salary: £29,373 - £35,249 p.a., pro-rata (Including LWA)

The Laban Library, which supports teaching, learning, performance and research within the Faculty of Dance at the Conservatoire, seeks to appoint a part-time (0.6 F.T.E) Academic Services Librarian to become a central part of a small team. The role will include managing the catalogue related library operations, arranging and delivering initial inductions and follow up training sessions for staff and students, along with the day-to-day running of core services, including staffing the front desk, and carrying out general library tasks. The post holder will represent the department at a number of institutional groups and meetings, and have a lead role in identifying new resources to support the department’s and institution’s aims. They will provide direct library support for specific courses, lead the department’s delivery of user education, and perform some line management of library assistants. 

An undergraduate degree with a CILIP accredited postgraduate qualification is essential, along with a strong interest in the arts with the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative. You will be IT-literate, customer-focussed, forward thinking, a good team player, and demonstrate a meticulous approach to detail.
