We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a new member of academic teaching staff to the Centre for Applied Anatomy at the University of Bristol.

The Centre focuses on the excellence of practical applied anatomy teaching which is delivered with clinical and professional relevance. This post will be appointed at Senior Teaching Associate /Teaching Fellow level depending on the individuals’ profiles and skill sets.

You will teach clinically relevant anatomy for the Medical, Dental, Applied Anatomy and Functional and Clinical Anatomy programmes, and will be expected to contribute substantially to practicals, lectures and seminars, with a main focus being on practical topographical anatomy within the human dissecting room. Sound knowledge of human anatomy is essential. You may potentially also teach across the other professional teaching (Veterinary) streams in CAA, and may also contribute to the delivery of external courses that are based in the dissecting room.

An interest in anatomy teaching methodologies and a willingness to participate in the design and organisation of courses is an important part of the role. Finally, some experience of managing a small team of staff would be an advantage.
