About the team: Human Resources drives the University’s people strategy to attract, develop and retain the highest quality people to support the University’s goal of being in the world’s top 50 University’s. We provide a high quality, responsive people management and advisory service. As a key member of Human Resources, you will join the recently established Employee Relations, Reward and Policy team reporting to the Associate Director, Employee Relations, Reward and Policy. The team determines the priority of employee relations, remuneration and policy needs of the University and ensures these are articulated and addressed in ways that explicitly support the organisation’s strategic and operational aims and objectives. This high performing team also facilitates the development of a robust and compliant employee relations, reward and policy agenda, which is connected with core planning and performance frameworks and directly links to the delivery of the University’s academic mission.
About the opportunity: You will lead and motivate a small team to drive the establishment of the University’s reward strategy. You will work with Leaders to provide high-level remuneration advice and solutions, which align with the University’s strategy, and manage a range of remuneration and benefits services, including the Executive and Senior Leader remuneration framework, classifications, job evaluation, promotions, allowances and superannuation. A key part of your role initially will be to implement and evaluate the University’s remuneration and reward programs, including base salary benchmarking, variable pay/incentive options, gender pay equity and employee reward/benefits across all levels. You will then partner with the business to develop policy, strategies and tools for the delivery of a strategically aligned remuneration function that contributes to the University as an ‘Employer of Choice’ and a great place to work.
