About the position
The Associate Dean: Research Education, will be responsible for all Higher Degree by Research students in the Division of Education, Arts and Social Sciences. Reporting to the Dean: Research and Innovation, the portfolio of responsibility will include the development of research education across the Division, the design and implementation of support initiatives and strategies for higher degree by research student’s supervisors.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will currently be at a Level D/E or Associate Research Professor / Research Professor level with a doctoral qualification and an advanced academic profile in a discipline relevant to the Division. You will also have significant demonstrated leadership in research management and education, together with demonstrated expertise in contemporary research supervision and development methodologies for research students. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and people management skills will be crucial to successful management of the complex operating environment of the role.
