Research Assistant - Department of Adult & Community Education

We are seeking a full-time research assistant to work on a project which examines the effectiveness of alternative access routes into higher education in Ireland and the UK. The successful candidate will work with the team in the Turn to Teaching programme to explore the impact of the alternative access routes to higher education and the impact they have on student. We are specifically seeking applications from individuals with an interest in social justice and educational change; previous experience working within a research team would be of benefit. The research assistant will report to Dr Katriona O’Sullivan, Lecturer in Adult and Community Education.
Administrative and other duties:
This will include:
- Conduct a specified programme of research and scholarship under the supervision and direction of the Principal Investigator.
- Engage in report writing and dissemination of findings as directed by, and under the supervision of, the Principal Investigator.
- Engage in the wider research and scholarly activities of your research group and School.
- Carry out administrative work associated with the Turn to Teaching Programme
