We are seeking to appoint a post-doctoral Research Fellow to join a collegiate team of computer scientists and mathematicians, in the area of requirements engineering and domain-specific modelling languages/tools, for machine learning and data analytics applications.

This is an exciting opportunity to carry out industry-relevant research, directly engaging with businesses, and based in an interdisciplinary academic team. You will be required to carry out high quality cutting-edge research, leading to publications in top international venues. There may be opportunities to be involved in teaching.

You will work with multiple small industries and companies on current and future requirements of data analysis problems with a commercial focus. You will be joining a team of experts involved with the technology transfer of leading edge ideas and research in data analytics into the commercial and industrial sectors. 

You will have good interpersonal skills to interact directly across academia and industry and from technical to managerial levels. An ability to develop formal problem specifications and capturing systems requirements from commercial problem domains will be as important as your problem solving abilities.

The post is a fixed-term contract, with an expiry date of 31/7/2020.
The project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
