About the role
A wonderful opportunity for a self-motivated, enthusiastic professional with excellent leadership capabilities has become available. This position is within the School of Molecular Sciences, working closely with the leadership team there, and reporting through to the General Manager of the College of Science Health and Engineering. The role is integral to the success of the School and College and helps shapes the culture of the organisation as well as being critical to successful delivery of the business plan.
This role is a highly visible and respected position. In addition to managing budgets and a broad range of initiatives and programs within the business plan, the role is at the centre of coordination with academic and administrative staff. The School Manager is at once leader, diplomat, colleague and trusted advisor.
Skills & Experience required
To be considered you will possess a high level of professionalism, emotional intelligence and leadership skills. You will be able to manage budgets to a detailed level and hold people to account for expenditure. You will need to be able to conceptualize solutions and then deliver to detail on these. Management, leadership and project management skills are essential. The ability to quickly develop then maintain strong networks across a large diverse organisation is critical to success in this role.
Energy, strong values and a leadership style that clearly demonstrates professionalism will be required. The right person will have the ability to shape the role to his or her own style within these expectations of professionalism.
