About the position

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Research Laboratory Manager to join Bond University at a stunning Gold Coast location.

The Manager, Research Laboratories is responsible for the management and operation of the Faculty Research laboratory facilities across several Gold Coast sites. The role includes meeting compliance with Workplace Health & Safety and Biosafety requirements.

The Manager, Research Laboratories will assist and train academic staff, students and researchers in a diverse scientific and technical manner.

About the person:

The successful candidate will possess a post-graduate qualification in biomedical research or a related discipline along with a minimum of three years’ working experience as a researcher. They will be an experienced person with the ability to foster a responsive research culture, meeting the needs of both staff and students.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Facilities and Laboratories, this position will have demonstrated knowledge of WHS policies and procedures in an operational laboratory environment, specifically Australian Standards: AS/NZ 2243 and PC2 and OGTR requirements, as well as the Australian Code for the Care and Use of Animals in Research.

Salary details:

The salary range for this position will be $75,678 to $80,286 per annum plus 17.5% superannuation. Appointment level will be based on skills and experience.
