The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences is a vibrant, multidisciplinary School with extensive teaching and research programs covering the fields of Geology, Geography, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences and Planning. The School offers a wide range of undergraduate programs, coursework masters degrees and postgraduate training in research via the Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy, with over 150 students currently enrolled in these degrees. The School has a strong research profile and enjoys an excellent success rate in nationally competitive grants and has a strong record of high quality publications.
The successful appointee will provide research leadership and project coordination in a funded research project. The appointment will focus on coordinating data collection, analysing and integrating social and ecological data, and contributing to the dissemination of project findings through reports and academic publications.
Applicants should possess a social science PhD or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, sociology, social geography, marketing). You should have an understanding of social theory, proven capacity to conduct high-level statistical analyses, an ability to work collaboratively and independently, excellent time management skills, and a high level of professionalism.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,545 - $87,535 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,408 - $102,416 p.a.).
