As part of the Faculty of Business and Law, the School of Marketing and Management are looking to appoint an Associate Head of School for Recruitment and Marketing.  This needs to be a highly motivated individual who can provide leadership and management to help not only support our growth but also enhance the School of Marketing and Management’s reputation.

As Associate Head of School for Recruitment and Marketing, you will contribute to the strategic direction, academic and discipline/subject leadership and line management for staff within the School.  A key part of this role will be working closely with the Head of School, the Associate Dean for Recruitment and Marketing and course teams to support the achievement of the School student recruitment objectives, aligned to Faculty and Corporate Plan objectives.   You will be expected to have strong communication skills in order to develop our communications collateral and a proven track record in resource management and delivery, along with excellent people skills and confidence in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to encourage collaboration and build networks.  Reporting to the Head of School with a functional reporting line to the Faculty’s Associate Dean –Recruitment and Marketing, you will have specific responsibility for developing the Marketing, Recruitment and Communication agenda across the School, leading on the School student recruitment plan for home, EU and overseas markets. You will ensure portfolio objectives are understood and applied effectively in fulfilment of the University’s Mission Statement and Corporate Plan. 

You will be expected to maintain teaching, research and scholarly activity as required and participate fully as a member of the School management team.

You will need a PhD together with experience in a relevant subject area (or an equivalent level of professional experience and a relevant Postgraduate degree).  Whilst this is a permanent appointment, tenure to the specialist Associate Head of School role will be by way of a secondment of 4 years.
