Grade 5:  £21,585 - £25,728 per annum

You will provide in-depth technical expertise and support to grant funded and institutionally funded research in neuroscience and imaging and provide support and advice on the set up and best operation of equipment and procedures to aid delivery of research objectives. In addition, you will work in a team to provide high quality laboratory skills and organisational skills to support the PI’s in the running of the lab on a day-to-day basis. 

You will also:

 i) Contribute to grant funded programmes of research, meeting agreed milestones to maximise research output. 
ii) Maintain and co-ordinate a framework of core technical support within the multidisciplinary research facility. This will involve the delivery of an integrated service by performing a range of duties proficiently, efficiently and effectively. To provide relevant technical knowledge, motivation and guidance to staff & students and to resolve technical issues. In addition, the postholder will undertake a range of technical support activities in line with the Institute’s Research and Teaching Strategy.
