Research Assistant Professor/Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Nursing
Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor (RAP)/Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF) in the School of Nursing, to commence as soon as possible, for one to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Nursing or other related disciplines. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to research and teaching, and be able to contribute to the enhancement and development of nursing and healthcare related courses offered by the Faculty. They should also have excellent communication, interpersonal and management skills, and be able to work independently. The main duty will focus on research.
The appointee will be expected to develop significant independent research programmes with external research funding from competitive research schemes, and be active in research and educational innovations. For RAP, applicants should be research active and have a proven publication record. The appointee can be assigned some teaching duties and be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. For PDF, applicants should have undertaken original research that has contributed to the body of knowledge. Information about the School can be obtained at https://nursing.hku.hk/.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. For RAP, the appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
