Instructor, Effective In-House Counsel
Boston University School of Law is seeking to hire a part-time instructor to teach a practical skills seminar on Effective In-House Legal Counsel in spring 2019. The class will be offered to foreign-trained lawyers enrolled in the school’s LLM in American Law Program. It will introduce students to the roles and responsibilities of in-house legal counsel and investigate the skills and characteristics that contribute to successful and effective corporate counsel practice. The three-credit seminar will focused on practice skills development. In role-plays, students will step into the shoes of in-house counsel to address a variety of situations in which in-house counsel would be expected to act.
5-8 years of in-house counsel experience required. Prior law school teaching experience is strongly preferred. Interest in and ability to work with international students highly valued.
