The School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences (ECLS), that sits within the Faculty of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences (HASS) at Newcastle University is seeking to recruit to a new post of Professor of Professor of Quantitative Analysis in Educational Research. The appointee will lead a team of researchers within the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences at Newcastle University in critically engaging with quantitative data to enlighten research and policy debates in education as well as helping build research capacity in the analysis of big data.
This post holder will be based in the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences but will have major part in collaborating with other quantitative data specialists across the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) and the Faculties of Medical Sciences (FMS) and of Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAGE). The post is one of a number funded by the University’s Research Innovation Fund and will link to the existing specialism in digital civics, spatial analytics and in health more generally. It will also fit within the activity of the Newcastle Institute for Social Renewal.
