About the roles
The opportunity exists to join Southern Cross University’s School of Education, an energetic learning community fostering excellence in teaching across early childhood, primary, secondary, and higher education in blended and online teaching modes, with courses offered at Gold Coast, Lismore and Coffs Harbour campuses, and online. The School has strong, collaborative links with schools and educational organisations nationally, across New South Wales and Queensland, and international educational communities.
The School is seeking to appoint three Associate Lecturers and one Lecturer. The Associate Lecturer roles will have a discipline focus in at least two of the following discipline areas and the Lecturer role will have a strong discipline focus in Initial Teacher Education and experience in one (or more) of the other discipline areas listed below:
- Digital Literacy;
- Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE), Primary and Secondary;
- Maths Education;
- English Education;
- Early Childhood Education/Literacy; and
- Initial Teacher Education
You will be an energetic academic, ready to commit to the University’s values and priorities, engaged and innovative in your approach to the role, and keen to make a contribution to the University and the community through your activities.
You will display a student centred approach to your teaching, enjoy applying new and existing technology, a commitment to reflective teaching practice and capacity and/or experience in blended and online teaching modes. You will have a publication track record, reflective to opportunity, with a research profile that aligns with the School’s.
