Job Description

The Admissions and Communications Specialist is a key admissions representative for the JD Program. Manages the electronic admission processes and procedures, including creating methods to increase efficiency and accuracy across all stages of the application process. Communicates directly with prospects, applicants and admitted students throughout the admissions cycle. Execute administrative tasks required for the recruitment process, contribute to the development of new recruitment efforts and attend local recruiting events. Reviews applications and makes admission recommendations. Manages social media for the office, generates promotional content, and makes recommendations regarding future marketing. Processes all mass mailings and mailing for recruitment events. Hires and supervises student workers.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree and 1-3 years of experience required. The successful candidate will have a dedication to providing excellent customer service while working to enroll and retain the most highly qualified class possible. Excellent written and oral communication are required. An ideal candidate will have experience with admissions databases, email marketing tools, and social media platforms. Strong analytical skills, effective problem solving and communication skills, and an ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment are required. This person must be a creative self-starter, have the ability to work with a variety of technologies, enjoy and be capable of extreme attention to detail, and have a proven track record in multi-tasking in an extremely busy work environment. This position requires a high level of professionalism and the independent exercise of good judgment. Valid drivers license required.
