Project Manager, School of Medicine
The person in this position will 1) function as a Project Manager, 2) contribute substantively to the intellectual activities of the investigative team and 3) assume primary responsibility for preparing materials to disseminate key findings to senior policymakers in the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Project Manager will work on multiple projects supporting the investigative team ranging from topics such as access to care, complimentary and integrative healthcare and comparative effectiveness research. This person will manage the day to day process of organizing team meetings and communicate among study partners between meetings, record decisions and findings, draft reports and presentations including charts and graphs to the funders and participate actively in manuscript and proposal generation. Research on the historical context of policies being researched as well as informational interviews with appropriate contacts in the field about policy implementation is also required. Finally, ability to conduct statistical analyses in STATA, R, SQL or SAS is highly desired.
3-5 years of experience and Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Master's in Public Policy, Public Administration or Economics preferred. Extensive project management experience on observational studies with large data sets may substitute for degree requirements.
