Swinburne University of Technology is now seeking candidates for the role of Professor of Digital Health and Deputy Director of the Iverson Health Innovation Institute. This position demonstrates Swinburne's commitment to a workforce within the future participatory health paradigm, working closely with external partners to push the boundaries to find transformative healthcare solutions.
Candidates should bring a demonstrated track record of research excellence with a focus on data-enabled health care and an understanding of how digital transformation can affect health systems and ultimately health outcomes through data analytics and diagnostics. In addition, candidates should possess knowledge of the collection, processing and analysis of digital health data and experience of bringing together clinical expertise with data science. Leading and facilitating interdisciplinary research within the University and actively engaging with external industry, government and NGO partners will be a key component of this role. It is expected that this research activity will deliver substantial research outcomes and impact, supporting the University to achieve key objectives and targets in its 2020 Research and Innovation Strategy. The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership and foster excellence in research, research training, professional activities and partnerships in their academic discipline within the Faculty of Health, Arts and Design, the broader university and the wider community.
The professorial position will be a continuing position and the successful candidate will be appointed to Deputy Director of the Iverson Health Innovation Institute for an initial period of three years, the latter will be renewed subject to mutual agreement. The role of Deputy Director comes with a salary loading commensurate with experience and achievements.
