Applications are invited for appointments as Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer (full-time / 50-80% fractional) in the following area:
Real Estate Economics in the Department of Real Estate and Construction to commence on September 1, 2018, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

HKUrbanLab is the newly branded research arm of the University of Hong Kong’s Faculty of Architecture. It draws together the research and outreach energies of scholars of architecture, conservation, construction management, housing, landscape, planning, real estate, surveying, transport, urban design, urban economics and urban studies. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant field.  Professional qualifications such as full members of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or other relevant professional qualifications are desirable.  Experience in teaching and course administration of similar professionally accredited programs is highly desirable. The appointee is expected to teach relevant subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and undertake departmental administrative duties.  Undergraduate programs and Taught Masters programs offered by the Department are accredited by a number of international and local built environment professional bodies.  Information about the Department can be obtained at

A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience will be offered.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% (Lecturer)/10% (Assistant Lecturer) of basic salary, as well as leave, and medical benefits.
