Associate Director, Technology and Policy Research Initiative, School of Law
The Associate Director is a key operational manager for the Technology & Policy Research Initiative (TPRI). Develops strategy for and manages business development, fundraising, and business partner relationships, including identifying prospects, soliciting potential business partners and funders, writing proposals and progress reports. Manages communications including, writing blog posts, magazine articles, the TPRI newsletter and website, social media, and journalist communications. The Associate Director contributes to the development of, plans, and executes TPRI events. Develops and manages the administrative processes required for new employees and visiting researchers. The Associate Director sets goals and determines how to accomplish them in line with broad guidance from the Executive Director.
This job requires strong management capabilities, strong communications skills, and advanced analytical skills. A BA/BS is required but a Masters of Communications and/or a Masters of Business Administration is strongly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. This job calls for a creative, highly independent person who can thrive in a flexible entrepreneurial type environment.
