AFG College with the University of Aberdeen is a new higher education partnership forged in 2017. The partnership has created the first UK University in the State of Qatar outside of Qatar Foundation. The University welcomed its first undergraduate students in September 2017. With over 500 years of history, the University is committed to developing an experienced full-time faculty to support its first dedicated overseas campus.
AFG College with the University of Aberdeen is inviting qualified applicants to join an expanding academic team at the new campus in Qatar. Ideally candidates will have prior trans-national education experience and have an accomplished university teaching background. The ability to teach in more than one cognitive business related area is desirable. Successful candidates will also be expected, in addition to their teaching responsibilities, to actively engage in relevant research and will be encouraged to collaborate with other research faculty in growing the wider academic community in Qatar.
Candidates are expected to hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification taught in the English medium, preferably in a management related discipline. However, individuals who do not possess a postgraduate research degree but have extensive experience are encouraged to apply.
How to apply:
Suitably qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae and a statement of their teaching philosophy to firstname.lastname@example.org. Candidates who have been deemed to have satisfied the necessary pre-requisites will be contacted by email to arrange a suitable time and place for the formal interview process.
AFG College with the University of Aberdeen offer attractive expatriate packages commensurate with similar opportunities within the international higher education sector.
