Salary - £32,548 - £37,706 per annum

Full time, permanent role

York St John is an ambitious, modern university at the heart of historic York and there has never been a more exciting time to join us.

After investing over £110 million in our campus and facilities, establishing nine schools across multiple expertise and developing a suite of attractive, contemporary courses, we have seen the biggest rise across all English universities in UCAS acceptances this year.

Central to our ambition is an absolute commitment to academic excellence.  Over a third of our research is already world leading or internationally excellent and we are going further and faster to enhance this, with collaborative opportunities to do work that makes a real world impact and promotes social justice.

We have also created the conditions for quality teaching to thrive.  We are third in the UK for the proportion of our academics with formal teaching qualifications, we are a consistent Stonewall Top 100 employer, and we hold the Social Enterprise Gold Mark for Responsible Business Practice.  Our strength lies in our community: renowned for our friendly, supportive environment, we will nurture your talent so that you can accomplish your ambitions.

In the York Business School, we have developed an in-depth range of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with a focus on preparing students for professional roles.  Fundamental to our ethos is developing the individual and working closely with the business community.  York Business School is developing its teaching and research profile and has seen a significant growth in provision. As part of our expansion, we are recruiting for a Lecturer in Marketing.

The successful candidate must have knowledge and experience of contemporary marketing practice including the use of social media and business analytics. They should have experience of delivering lectures and seminars in Marketing as a subject at HE and professional level.  The ability to teach Digital Marketing would be advantageous.

If you would like to shape the story of a 175 year old institution with a fantastic future, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that CVs will not be accepted in place of the application form.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion within our workforce and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
