Richmond University - President
Richmond, The American International University in London is an independent, private university with dual American and British accreditation and US public charity status, delivering an education in the American liberal arts tradition. With two campuses in a five-acre site in Richmond Hill and Kensington in central London, and study centres in Florence, Rome and Leeds, the University has around 1,500 students from over 60 countries.
Richmond educates a multicultural student body, and with an equally international faculty, places special emphasis on globalism and cultural awareness, preparing students for rewarding lives as active and engaged citizens. Building on recent developments, Richmond is well-positioned to grow its student numbers, expand its provision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and increase its influence as a pioneer and exemplar of an internationalist liberal arts higher education model.
Our current President, Professor John Annette, is due to retire next year following eight years of distinguished service and we are now looking to appoint a new President who will lead our University through the next stage of its exciting development. Our next President will be an outstanding leader: inspirational, strategic, commercially-minded, and deeply committed to academic excellence and the success of the students we serve. An appreciation for the contexts in which Richmond operates as an international university and a commitment to its values and mission will also be paramount.
