Aston Law School, a constituent part of Aston Business School, has a distinctive mission – the provision of commercially intelligent legal education – reflecting our position in a leading international business school and in a university focused on maximising the employability of its students.  As a growing Law School we offer a friendly, supportive and vibrant community of legal scholars embedded in a world-leading business faculty.

We currently offer two qualifying law degrees and also deliver law modules across a wide range of business and management programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We have ambitious expansion plans including the development of a new suite of LLM programmes which is why we need your teaching and enterprise expertise in the area of Business Law.

You will have the ability to contribute to teaching in Business Law (broadly defined) that is informed by research and the latest developments in legal and teaching practice.  Ideally you’ll be able to teach other legal subjects too. An experience of teaching Law and non-Law students would be an advantage. Committed to excellent teaching and outstanding student support, you will also be able to add to our business and community engagement work. You will need a good first degree in Law (or other related discipline) or a conversion qualification such as GDL.

The post is available to start in the autumn of 2018.
