UTS Business School is seeking, as its next Associate Dean, Education, an outstanding leader in teaching and learning with excellent academic standing.
UTS Business School is recognised for excellence in student learning experience and has strong vision to be a leader among business schools advancing knowledge with impact. With over 11,000 students and nearly 200 academic staff, UTS Business School is the largest Faculty in the University and is one of the largest business faculties in Australia. The business school promotes connectedness by linking other key disciplines for the University including health and STEM.
Reporting to the Dean of UTS Business School, the Associate Dean, Education is responsible for strategic leadership and is accountable for the Faculty’s teaching and learning strategy.
The successful candidate will require a thorough understanding of contemporary teaching and learning methods and approaches, alongside proven credentials in the development of successful multi-disciplinary and cross faculty teaching and learning initiatives. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work under high pressure in a highly competitive, complex and rapidly changing environment will be essential.
UTS is uniquely located in the heart of Sydney, one of the world’s most exciting cities and forms the nucleus of the CBD’s creative innovation precinct. UTS Business School is housed in the Dr Chau Chak Wing Building and is the first Australian building designed by Frank Gehry, one of the world’s most celebrated architects. The building is a flagship project of UTS’s billion-dollar-plus City Campus Master Plan.
