We offer an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual with a quantitative or qualitative research background in a discipline relevant to Public Health to join the Department of Public Health and Policy at the University of Liverpool.

This post aims to support career development in academic public health; strengthen research skills in a relevant public health discipline; strengthen the Departmental contribution to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) process; strengthen the Departmental contribution to student experience.

You will be based in the Department of Public Health and Policy at the University of Liverpool, attached to one or more of the themes in Departmental research: Non-communicable disease prevention and food policy (led by Professor Simon Capewell and Professor Martin O'Flaherty); Health Protection (led by Professor Sarah O’Brien); Energy, air pollution, and health (led by Dr Dan Pope); Social determinants and health inequalities: elucidating and evaluating pathways, policies and preventive interventions (led by Professor Margaret Whitehead)

You should have a PhD (in public health or cognate discipline) or equivalent experience qualifications and publications likely to score 3* or 4* at the REF 2021.
