We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Dean for our School of Health and Life Sciences.  As a senior leader, you will be expected to drive strategic, academic and operational leadership not only from within the School but across the University.

As a Dean of School, you will be responsible for articulating a clear academic school vision around the University’s core values of responsible leadership, management and create an excellent student experience in line with the University’s corporate strategy and KPIs.   You will have ultimate responsibility to drive school performance and its quality across standards for teaching, research and knowledge transfer.  Within this role, you will contribute to strategic policy-making and decision-making in the wider University context to help shape, promote and deliver the strategic aims of the University.

Contribution to GCU’s ongoing enhancements to our national and international reputation in education, research, enterprise and innovation and developing the School’s ability to work in creative partnerships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally will be paramount.

The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic and work closely with colleagues across the University (including London and New York) and lead the school senior management team. 

We are looking for applicants to be inspirational academic leaders within their field with track record of delivery in research, teaching and income generation.  Candidates will have an outcome- driven approach, be brave and bold in an impact- focused environment in line with the values of the University.  Candidates will also hold a relevant Doctorate degree or have extensive relevant experience.
