Salary: $98,775 - $117,290 p.a. plus 17% superannuation
The University of Melbourne’s Development Studies Program is currently seeking a Level B Lecturer in Development Studies through the Melbourne Early Career Academic Fellowship program (MECAF) as defined in section 27 of The University of Melbourne Enterprise Agreement 2013. Staff engaged in this initiative will complete a structured development programme provided by the University within their workload allocation. This program will provide training, supervision and appropriate career and professional development opportunities towards establishing your academic career. The successful candidate will be required to commence teaching within the School in Semester 2, 2018.
The successful applicant will be expected to research, teach and administer at levels commensurate with the level of the position. The person appointed will be expected to teach existing subjects at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and to develop new subjects for the Program as appropriate. Supervision of Honours, Masters coursework and RHD students is also a requirement. The incumbent will undertake research resulting in publications with leading publishers in the field, and to apply for externally competitive grants. She/he is expected to foster engagement links with external networks nationally and internationally and will take on administrative tasks associated with the appointment.
