RMIT Business programs are delivered in Melbourne, Vietnam, Singapore, Shanghai and Jakarta, as well as through Open Universities Australia (OUA).

The Role & Your Responsibilities

The Academic Services Coordinator is one of seven Academic Services Coordinator roles in the Academic Services Unit of the College of Business. The role is part of a large and busy student services team who operate 'back-of house' to provide efficient and professional academic services for international and domestic students in vocational education, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The role liaises with internal and external customers on a regular basis and is an integral part to the effective operations of a high volume, busy environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring consistent, timely and professional services to internal and external students and will actively work to improve and maintain high levels of service and support to all internal and external customers. The role is jointly responsible for the coordination and delivery of academic administrative services related to the student life-cycle, including admissions, credit, enrolment, assessment and student global mobility. These activities occur across all undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the College of Business, both domestically, offshore and online and across multiple academic calendars.

Skills & Experience required

To be considered for this role you will have demonstrated experience in the coordination and delivery of administrative services in an education environment and an ability to work effectively, flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues. You will have experience in coordinating a diverse team of people and evidence of making positive and sustainable contributions to customer service improvements. You will have a commitment to quality outcomes as well as high order communication skills, both oral and written. As the role works with multiple systems and procedures in a complex environment, we will be looking for an individual who has experience in complex student management systems and excellent office based IT skills, such as Excel, Word and related.

It is essential that you possess relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant administrative experience in an educational setting. Short listed applicants may be tested for skills claimed in an application.
