The Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences is one of five faculties at the University of Adelaide. It is a centre for learning, teaching and research in a vast range of engineering disciplines, computer science and high level mathematics. This role is for a postdoctoral researcher working within the Research Consortium "Unlocking Complex Resources through Lean Processing”.
The research consortium brings together an interdisciplinary team and the successful candidate will closely work with researchers from mining, mechanical and chemical engineering on industry driven research. We are seeking an excellent candidate with a PhD in computer science or a related field. The successful applicant should carry out interdisciplinary work on optimisation and data mining.
Salary: (Level A) $85,307 – $91,425 per annum.
Superannuation: An employer contribution of 9.5% applies .
Term of position: This fixed-term contract is available immediately for a duration of 4 years.
To be successful you should have:
- PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Background on optimization algorithms (mixed integer programming and/or evolutionary computation)
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to carry out industry-driven research.
