The School of Economics and Finance is seeking a teaching focussed Lecturer on a full time, continuing basis. 

In this position, you will primarily be involved in teaching and learning, however you will also have a contribution to empirical research in asset pricing and behavioural finance. You will incorporate high quality research, scholarship and practice into teaching activities and have a commitment to teaching and innovation. 


  • Conduct learning activities online, distributed or face-to-face as appropriate, which stimulate and foster student learning.
  • Innovative curriculum design and development of learning materials in collaboration with other colleagues as appropriate.
  • Contribute to academic service, collegiality and engagement, including efficient management of internal service roles.

  • A doctoral qualification in relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated high level teaching skills and a demonstrated reflective approach to teaching delivery.
  • A record of productive research outputs with regular publication in high quality refereed academic journals, or outputs in other creative outlets, consistent with an international reputation in the field of finance.
  • A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.

The salary ranges presented are those which are contained within the University's Enterprise Agreements; as are the employee benefits which include employer superannuation contribution at the rate of the current Government Superannuation Guarantee amount up to 17 percent, study assistance, a comprehensive salary packaging and wellness programs and flexible and family friendly work practices.
