The College of Education delivers teaching and research in education, foundation programs and academic language and literacy. Our foundation programs provide students with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed at university, and our education programs enable students to specialise in early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary education and training. Education graduates teach in childcare facilities, pre-schools, and primary, middle and high schools, as well as in industrial, commercial and community education.
As the Lecturer in Education (Early Childhood), you will build the teaching profile, research capabilities and professional practice of the College of Education as related to early childhood teaching programmes. Your role is central to the ongoing development and delivery of teaching and learning units related to early childhood education both on campus and through flexible delivery methods, as well as engagement with scholarly work that informs teaching and learning across diverse educational contexts.
To be successful, you require a relevant doctoral qualification in Education or related field or progress towards and a nationally recognised teaching qualification with eligibility for teacher registration in the Northern Territory. An emerging research profile of publications/research projects or a progress towards a research plan and a commitment to contributing to the Colleges research output is essential.
