About the Faculty of Arts
The Faculty of Arts is one of the oldest and largest faculties at the University of Melbourne, with over 8,000 students and 400 staff. It is home to the University’s first degree - the Bachelor of Arts - the most popular degree in Victoria based on the first preferences of school leavers, and home to the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The Faculty of Arts Human Resources Unit (Arts HR) is responsible for facilitating HR programs and functions throughout the Faculty. Arts HR seeks to support operations and the achievement of Faculty strategic objectives through the provision of high quality HR business support services and HR business partnering.
About the role
Reporting to the Faculty HR Manager, a key focus of the HR Coordinator is to provide highly professional end to end recruitment support to the Faculty. This will include the provision of best practice recruitment advice, recruitment administration, induction, appointment and on boarding services. Additionally the incumbent will be required to provide Faculty staff with support and advice throughout the employee lifecycle and ensure that HR functions are delivered in line with Faculty and University requirements.
You will have excellent skills in communication, planning & organisation and be a strong team player who can effectively manage relationships that are internal and external to the Faculty and the University. You will also be highly self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously within your portfolio.
