Apply your post trade qualification in carpentry and experience in construction with your ability to deliver competency-based training to our enthusiastic apprentices and students.
The Trades Central Team provides nationally accredited training to apprentices, trainees, and pre-apprentice students, as well as the upskilling of existing workers.
As VET Lecturer / Workplace Assessor – Construction you are responsible for delivering training in accordance with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) standards and VET Quality Framework and to the competency standards of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package.
In this role you will contribute to growing the teaching business by anticipating and responding to industry training requirements, as well as facilitate competency based training using a range of delivery modes including face-to-face, mixed-mode, workplace based, external and online delivery.
To be successful you must hold a Trade qualification in Carpentry, and/or relevant post trade experience in the Carpentry industry and/or demonstrated relevant supervisory level practical industry work experience in the Building industry. You will also possess a current qualification equivalent to the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor) and the ability to obtain competencies in additional core units as required.
Essential to this role is your demonstrated experience providing training either within a workplace setting or educational institution and ability to demonstrate an understanding of competency based workplace assessment. Possession of forklift and machinery tickets will be well regarded.
