The Maastricht Science Programme follows the tradition of the ‘Liberal Arts and Sciences’, with an emphasis on student centred learning in a small-scale college-community. At the Maastricht Science Programme, this student centred learning is characterized by the opportunity for students to build their own curriculum in the natural sciences, intensive staff-student interactions in small groups, community building, extracurricular activities and personal guidance. The programme is taught in English and is highly selective. Combined with the unique strengths of Maastricht University, such as problem based learning, an international focus and working at the edge of research and entrepreneurship in an inspiring environment, the Maastricht Science Programme offers an innovative concept of education in the natural sciences. Lectures and group meetings of the Maastricht Science Programme take place in the historic centre of Maastricht, whereas the practical parts (skills, projects, undergraduate research) of the programme are carried out in our new laboratories at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus near Geleen.
