Visiting Fellow, Stepp Lab for Sensorimotor Rehabilitation Engineering
The Stepp Lab for Sensorimotor Rehabilitation Engineering has an opening for a full-time visiting fellow to preform search within the lab. Areas of research include voice and speech motor control, acoustic features of voice production and functional measurements of voice and speech in health and disease. Candidates should hold a B.S. and/or M.S. in speech, language and hearing sciences, biomedical, mechanical or electrical engineering, neuroscience, computer science, biology or similar. Preference given to those with experience in: speech acoustics, audiology/hearing science, signal processing, audio processing, computer programming, biomedical modeling, statistics, clinical research coordination/recruitment, IRB application preparation and management. Strong communication skills and essential - must have excellent command or spoken and written English. Previous lab experience required. Must have interest in contributing to scientific dissemination via manuscript and/or presentation preparation and must be dedicated to building and maintaining a collaborative lab environment. Initial appointment tern of one year. Position is contingent upon external funding.
B.A. and experience required. M.S preferred.
