Programme Manager x 2 posts (grade K) and Senior Programme Manager x 1 post (grade L)
We are recruiting to a number of programme manager posts to support and shape the University of Bristol’s engagement with the Industrial Strategy. You will have a crucial role in developing and maintaining partnerships with industry or other organisations, and - working with them and academic research groups - develop collaborative projects of scale, and secure funds to execute them. This may include bidding for funds from Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund delivery partners.
You will be a primary contact for advice and expertise on the Industrial Strategy for academics and external partners in one or more interdisciplinary areas of strategic importance to the University that align to the Industrial strategy and the University’s research strengths and ambitions. As part of the Programme Management team based in the Division of Research and Enterprise Development and working with other RED teams, you will develop plans to promote IS and ISCF across the University, maintaining up to date knowledge and ensuring others are kept informed. You will be cogniscent of the place of the university in the region and use that to plan and leverage projects and initiatives.
You should have a relevant degree (or equivalent qualification or professional experience) and have either relevant Business Development or funder experience including proven experience of preparation of business plans and applications for large funding opportunities. You will be a self-starter, a good strategic thinker, and be able to respond effectively to short deadlines. A PhD or MBA would be a bonus.
The closing date for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 25th March 2018; interviews are expected to be held in early April
