FACULTY OF LAW, HUMANITIES AND THE ARTS
- Fixed term, part-time appointment (2 years, 0.4 FTE)
The Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS) seeks an energetic and committed person to play a key role in the design and implementation of the communications strategy of a large research for development project funded by the Australian government through DFAT and ACIAR on community-based fisheries management (CBFM) and rural livelihoods in the Pacific region. The project brings together national agencies, the Pacific Community and WorldFish to improve CBFM outcomes in the region.
The role involves hands-on management of the project’s website, media and social media presence working alongside communications officers from partner organisations, assistance to project researchers in communicating their research outcomes to a public audience, event coordination and assistance with preparation of reports. The Communications Coordinator will work with the project’s research team and partners to ensure broad representation and maximum impact of the full breadth of Pathways outcomes. There is potential for regional travel, primarily to Kiribati, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. We are open to discussion on flexible working arrangements.
You will be prompted to respond the selection criteria within the online application form.
