Senior Information Technologist: Servers and Storage (HEO 7)

  • Based in the Information Strategy & Technology Services at Mawson Lakes campus
  • Full-time, continuing position
  • Salary range: $85,467 - $96,150 per annum (plus super)

About the Job

Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS), which has the primary strategic and operational responsibility for the provision of the UniSA’s considerable IT infrastructure and services has approximately 150 staff in 9 key areas.

As the Senior Information Technologist: Systems Infrastructure you will lead the development, support and maintenance of the security and identity management systems, data management systems, associated physical and virtual servers and operating systems to support the University’s IT environment.

Using your substantial expertise and knowledge, you will provide technical direction for complex IT problems; architectural leadership and will be responsible for particular groupings of technologies in the systems infrastructure environment. You will also guide less experienced staff in the implementation of new technical enhancements.

Skills and Experience

To be eligible for this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualification and demonstrated experience in design, documentation and provision of technical leadership for the architecture of specific technologies associated with Servers and Storage including automated system builds, virtual machines, capacity planning, storage area networks, backup and recovery technologies and disaster recovery of storage from backups.

You will also have extensive relevant professional information technology experience in a complex networked computing environment comparable with that of the University and the interaction of protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and server network configurations.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated excellent project management, supervision, team member and collaboration skills.
