Yorkshire Cancer Research has funded an exciting new project to help women treated for breast cancer to achieve and maintain weight loss to reduce their future risk of disease recurrence. The North of England Women's Diet and ActivitY After Breast Cancer Trial (NEW DAY- ABC) is being led by Northumbria University and Sheffield Hallam University. The main focus will be on co-designing an intervention (with participants) that will provide tailored dietary advice and exercise prescription and support long-term behaviour change. We are looking to recruit a researcher to co-ordinate the day to day operations in Sheffield.

You will work in The Centre for Sport and Exercise Science at Sheffield Hallam University based at our Collegiate Crescent Campus and will liaise with clinical collaborators at our local NHS Hospital Trust, with patient groups and external agencies.

You should have some expertise and experience of physical activity and/or dietary behaviour change interventions in clinical populations for weight management or health improvement. This post requires a sound appreciation of the challenges associated with lifestyle behaviour modification and empathy for supporting individuals with a clinical condition to change their lifestyle behaviour.

We wish to appoint an excellent researcher with well-developed analytical and communication skills who has the ability to work as an integral member of our research group. We are looking for someone who is passionate about and skilled in helping others to achieve their health ambitions. You will have a PhD in exercise science or a related science discipline.

**We particularly welcome applicants from underrepresented groups**

We welcome applications for job-share, part-time and flexible working arrangements
